We had a wonderful end to the 2025 dive season Saturday morning at Massmount. We had a combination of Closed and Open Circuit divers in the water, with dive times of between 50 and 40 minutes, respectively.

The weather was totally calm, and the bright winter sunshine produced in-water visibility of at least 15m horizontally. Air temperatures had been down to -3.5 Celsius earlier, with water temperatures down to 6 degrees Celsius, definitely a challenging dive. Max depth was just below 10 metres, and the marine life of Eelgrass, Sea Squirts, Anemones, Tube Worms, Crabs, Scallops Blennies, and Gobies were out in force.

The debrief in the Narrow Quarter Kerrykeel led to great stories of diving and local maritime heritage that are a pleasure to hear. A perfect end to 2025 with the promise of plenty more to come in 2026.
