Inishowen Sub Aqua Club Gratefully Upgrades our Search & Recovery Gear

There’s always something special about coming together as a community, and at Inishowen Sub Aqua Club, we’re delighted to share some fantastic news! Thanks to the generosity of Adrian Cavanagh and all at Cavanagh Nets Ltd in Greencastle, Co Donegal, our Search & Recovery (SAR) Unit is now equipped with upgraded gear, boosting our ability to support underwater search and recovery operations. Their contribution will make a real and lasting difference to our voluntary team.

Our Search and Recovery volunteer divers have completed specialist training to ensure we’re ready whenever the call comes. Led by our Search and Recovery Officer Don McGlinchey and armed with the latest equipment from Cavanagh Nets, we can continue to work efficiently and safely, knowing we have the right tools for the job. It’s the kind of community support that keeps us motivated, and we can’t thank Adrian Cavanagh and his team enough for their commitment to local volunteer services.

On April 19th we’ll be putting our new kit to the test with a training exercise at Buncrana Pier – another important step in maintaining our readiness. If you’re down by the Pier, keep an eye out for our team in action.

We’re always keen to welcome new faces and share what we do. If you’d like to learn more about our club or get involved, please contact us on our website www.inishowensubaqua.club or our socials.
